The Grand Opening for Crime Stoppers of Cowlitz County was held October 2, 1999, at The Child Safety Fair located at Triangle Mall. Crime Stoppers had a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon. They were presented with a check from the Silent Witness program to help them get started. There was a patrol car there for kids to sit in and turn on the lights. Officers for kids and their parents to talk with and McGruff made an appearance. Many stickers were given out. It was a good beginning. |
