NEW MARCH 12, 2008-- Kelso, Wash – The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office is requesting help from the public in identifying a woman seen in a video attempting to obtain narcotics with a forged prescription.  The woman in the video went to the Rite Aid Pharmacy in Kelso, Washington on February 14th, 2008.  

The woman also went to the Safeway Pharmacy in Kelso, Washington on February 12th 2008.

The woman’s description is: White, about 5’8” to 5’10” tall, thin build, in her 20’s to 30’s.

NEW 3/10/08  LONGVIEW--A man held up the Shell station on 15th Avenue around 7:25 p.m. on March 5, 2008.

The robber is described as a white man in his 50s, wearing a light-colored stocking cap, white tennis shoes and a black jacket.

No weapon was seen, but he implied he had a gun, police said.

He was last seen running south on 15th Avenue with an undisclosed amount of cash in a brown plastic bag.

Police had not been able to locate him by 7:50 p.m. and had requested assistance from a sheriff's K9.

LONGVIEW, WA--On 12/07/07, a Residential Burglary occurred in the 400 block of 24th Ave, Longview. The homeowners arrived home, and confronted a male suspect in their bedroom. The suspect attempted to leave and struggle ensued between the homeowners and the suspect. The suspect fled the residence, but during the struggle he left behind his sweatshirt.

The suspect is described as being a White Male, 6-00, 160 lbs and shoulder length dark blonde hair.  The below photographs are the sweatshirt the suspect left behind.

  KELSO, WA—On Tuesday, 11/13/07, unknown subjects entered the cab of a Ford F150 truck.  The victim discovered his lock had been punched and his briefcase and Dell Inspiron laptop computer were missing.

 

The vehicle prowl occurred at the Kelso Red Lion Hotel between 630p and 930p.  The victim had parked on the east end of the north lot.  The Dell laptop computer was in a brown leather briefcase.

Longview--On October 10, 2007 at 7:27 p.m., Longview Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Fairway Apartments located 3858 Pennsylvania St. in Longview.  The robbery occurred in the northwest corner of the complex near the victim’s Hyundai Elantra.

The suspect approached the victim riding a dark colored, BMX style bicycle and fled through the complex.  The 22 year old female victim was accosted by the lone, male suspect and received minor injuries in the struggle over the victim’s purse.

The white male suspect is believed to be between 18-22 years old and described as 6’ to 6’2” tall and noticeably skinny.  The suspect’s clothing was described as a dark blue or black zipped hooded sweatshirt , white tee shirt and a dark blue Red Sox baseball cap.  The suspect was wearing a black backpack.

UNSOLVED--Longview--CASE #73-10115

 

On December 22nd, 1973, a Homicide was committed at the Longview Port Docks. The Captain of the cargo vessel Mediterranean Darby, Luk PO CHAN, was shot and killed by a person wearing a ski mask, believed to be a white male in his late 20’s. The ship’s First Officer, Lau Ching Lee, was shot and wounded.

The suspect apparently went on-board the ship with the intent to rob the payroll money. First Officer Lee would now be in his late 60’s. Many people were contacted and interviewed as possible suspects in this case but no arrests were made.

KELSO--On Thursday, August 2ND between the hours of 9:30 am and 5:00 pm a south Kelso residence was burglarized by unknown persons.  A small safe containing a Glock brand pistol was stolen from the residence.  The Kelso Police Department is seeking information to assist in the recovery of the safe and pistol.

CASTLE ROCK—Sometime between June and July, unknown person(s) destroyed 18 lamps along the walking trail in Castle Rock.  The lamps appear to have been shot.  Damage is in excess of $8000.  Anyone with information is encouraged to call Sgt. LONGVIEW--Between June 8 and June 12, an unknown number of Hispanic male suspects cashed 74 counterfeit Foster Farms payroll checks.  The counterfeit checks were cashed in the Longview/Kelso area at Cowlitz Bank, Til Payday, and El Tigre.  The suspects were dressed casually, and their age, height, and weight varied significantly.

LONGVIEW--Sometime during the night of Thursday, June 21, 2007, unknown persons entered the property of Longview Booming, located at 100 Tennant Way, Longview. While on the property, the suspects took copper wire from building electrical systems and underground conduits. They stole a 5-kilowatt diesel powered electric generator and bent a boom on a large crane attempting to pull the brass propeller from a boat, damaging both the boom and the boat. They also damaged a log truck when they used the truck while attempting to pull electrical wire from underground conduits. It is believed that the suspect(s) were driving an import pickup.

 The total loss was in excess of $33,000.00

LONGVIEW--Wanted for 1st degree burglary—female victim assaulted.  Occurred on May 22, 2007, in 5000 block of Ocean Beach Hwy (SR4), Longview.  Suspect is described as a white male, late 40s to early 50s. 5’11” to 6’, 230 lbs, with a “beer belly”.  He has “salt and pepper” hair—dark brown with grey throughout.  Deep set dark brown eyes, bushy eyebrows.  Suspect had unwashed looking dirty hair and face.  No facial hair, but close cut beard stubble.  He had greasy fingernails and rough hands.  He is described as having a “smoker’s voice”—raspy, and he clears his throat often.  At the time of the crime, suspect was wearing a dark red or maroon colored t-shirt, well-worn black leather jacket with a clasp or zipper on the inside of the right jacket collar, light blue tight-fitting denim jeans with greasy/dirty areas over the knees.  He was also wearing black gloves.  Footwear is unknown.
